Friends of Bourne End Library
Friends of Bourne End Library was formed in 2009 to support our local library in a time of uncertainty around the future for its continued provision.
We have run fundraising events to provide additional facilities at the library. These include the hanging system for art exhibitions, the planter and seat outside the front door, the planting of the garden dedicated to Dr Kay Flanagan, the Enid Blyton display in the Children’s Library and the website that you are currently reading.
We also maintain a dialogue with Buckinghamshire County Council as they consider how best to develop the library service in the future, to ensure that Bourne End will continue to have professionally-staffed provision.
We are keen to expand our team and would love to hear from anyone who’d like to get involved.
